✨ Bragging Rights
You’re a B2B brand that is thinking about podcasting. That’s amazing. Here’s why:
Think your executive buyers aren’t listening to podcasts? Think again. 44% of senior-level decision-makers (we’re talking department heads, VPs, C-suite execs, owners) say that they specifically make time to listen to podcasts. Your buyers are listening. Are you meeting them on their feed?

Our favorite inspiration to help you be great at podcasting
YouTube is putting their money where their podcasts are. Here’s why YouTube is making big bets on podcasting, and how that should affect your show strategy.
Calling all hosts and podcast guests! Odds are, your time behind the mic will require some script-reading. Want to sound less scripted, while you’re scripted? Our pals at Descript have some great tips.
🏖 Sandbox It
Ideas for you to implement this week. Literally. Try it once and see if it works.
There are tons of non-invasive ways to work a bit of airtime for your product into your branded podcast. Here are a few of our favorites:
Pre-roll Ad. A short ad at the top of the show is the perfect place for your ad–it won’t disrupt the listener experience, and it’s usually early enough that the listener won’t jump to the skip ahead button.
Sponsored Segment. Make a segment of your show sponsored by your brand–this is a great option for brands that want to make their podcast feel less like it’s a branded podcast, and more like their brand is a “sponsor”.
Stack The Guest List. Nobody knows your product better than your people. Invite one of your own onto the show as a guest. The show can follow the exact same format as it does when the guest is external–but this time, you know that everyone on the mic is a brand ambassador.

🎙 Mike Check
No, it’s not a typo. It’s a quick audio tip from our favorite (albeit a little grumpy) audio engineer, Mike.
Use headphones or earbuds while recording. Do not use bluetooth (connection issues or they could die) and not earbuds with a mic. Earbuds with a mic will rub against your clothes and make a terrible scratching noise throughout the recording. If earbuds with a mic are your only option (because you’re using your Apple ones) make sure to hold the mic away from your clothes or hair.
