😎 Bragging Rights
You’re a brand with a podcast. That’s worth bragging about. Here’s why:
Podcasting allows for a curated experience not only for the listener, but also for the creator/hosts/company/brand/favorite pet, etc. According to Activate’s latest Tech & Media Outlook, podcasts will grow to reach 166M listeners in the US alone. A podcast built on engaging storytelling that showcases your expertise can lead to a killer lead generation strategy for years to come.
💡 Sharing the Genius
Our favorite inspiration to help you be great
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…?” With the lightning pace of technology and generational trends, this idea is antiquated and will eventually leave your company in the dust. Here’s why you should stop using the same old playbook for growth and lean into all that podcasting can do to grow your business. It’s all about connecting the dots properly.
We talk about promoting your podcast all the time, since your podcast is literally a promotional tool for your company. We loved this article from our friends at Podchaser with some 101 on podcast promotion. Definitely some gold nuggets in there.
🎶Everything is content, don’t forget to film it 🎶 Lovingly fed to us by TikTok and Instagram Reels…but the word and idea of “content marketing” has an identity problem - it’s too vague. We totally related to this look into what it SHOULD be called from Luke Gardner. (HINT: your knowledge bombs will come in handy.)
🏖 Sandbox It
Ideas for you to implement this week. Literally. Try it once and see if it works.
Quick reality check: do your colleagues even know you have a podcast? If not (or they're just not that into sharing), here are a few ways you can enable your biggest fanbase (AKA your team) to be your podcast’s most effective evangelists:
Let them know when new episodes are live. It’s the bare minimum, sure–but it’s crazy effective. Simply alerting your team that a new episode is available and ready to share is a huge boost in your day-one numbers. Bonus idea: provide a short blurb about the episode that your external-facing teammates can share with prospects and customers in their outbound emails. They have a reason to reach out to a cold contact–you have another set of ears on the episode. Win/Win.
Give them exclusive access. Get your internal teams bought in with a little exclusivity. Create a chat channel or internal newsletter that provides exclusive previews of the content to come. Better yet—if you’ve got exciting guests lined up, ask your teammates for questions to ask them! Nothing better than an on-air shout out to get people engaged and invested.
Offer swag for reviews. Now that they’re listening, get those positive reviews flowing! Offer some podcast-branded swag to teammates who leave an honest review of the show on Apple Podcasts. Keep it cheap (everybody loves a sticker) or go big (raffle off a microphone)—either way, everybody looooves a prize.

🎙 Mike Check
No, it’s not a typo. It’s a quick audio tip from our favorite (albeit a little grumpy) audio engineer, Mike.
Ding! How distracting is that while you are in a meeting, or on a call? It happens all the time during podcast recording sessions, so Mike’s tip this time around is to turn off all your slack and email notifications, and ask your guests to do the same. No one wants to hear that while listening to your guests’ riveting story or literally the best business tip you could ever give. That ding will make that life-changing advice ding right out the window.
